Synopsis

Le chef de la Team Rocket, Giovanni, a découvert Mewtwo dans une région reculée de Johto. Alors que Giovanni tente de recapturer Mewtwo, Sacha et ses amis sont enlevés par Domino, une nouvelle membre de la Team Rocket, alors qu'ils tentaient de secourir Pikachu des griffes de Jessie et James. Les Pokémon clones sont également capturés et utilisés comme appât pour Mewtwo. La situation se transforme alors en une bataille de volontés entre Mewtwo et Giovanni. Mewtwo cherche également à découvrir s'il a un but dans la vie, tout comme les clones, bien qu'ils soient le produit de la science.
