Synopsis
En l'an 1014 du Régild Century, un millénaire s'est écoulé depuis la fin du légendaire Universal Century, où des figures comme Amuro Ray et Char Aznable ont régné sur les champs de bataille en tant que pilotes d'élite de mobile suits. La surface de la Terre, autrefois âprement disputée, est aujourd'hui largement désertée, l'humanité préférant vivre dans des colonies spatiales et sur la Lune. Bellri Zenam, étudiant à l'Académie de la Garde du Capital, mène une vie étudiante paisible. Cependant, ses journées ordinaires prennent fin avec la capture de la pilote pirate Aida Surugan et de son mobile suit, le G-Self. Bellri ressent une connexion mentale profonde avec le G-Self et découvre qu'il est capable de le piloter. Il se retrouve bientôt en confrontation avec la "Garde du Capital", une faction radicale qui suit son propre agenda secret, au mépris des désirs de l'Armée Amerian, toujours en pouvoir sur Terre. Rejoignant l'équipage du vaisseau Amerian Megafauna, Bellri et Aida doivent piloter le G-Self pour vaincre la Garde du Capital et ses dirigeants, le charismatique Colonel Kunpa Rushita et l'énigmatique Capitaine Mask.
